Australian Catholic University (ACU) was opened on 1 January 1991 following the amalgamation of four established Catholic tertiary institutions in Australia. ACU currently has seven campuses across five Australian states and territories and welcomes staff and students of all beliefs and backgrounds to study in an environment where faith and reason are compatible with education. ACU programmes include a practical placement and students undertake volunteer work and community engagement. Australian Catholic University has connections with over 130 international institutions, offering exchange programmes, international partnerships and study abroad opportunities.
